Our Web Site Development Process
Following is a brief outline of the process we follow:Phase I – Web Site Planning
The first phase of your website project is information gathering and research. We learn more about your business, who your target audience is, your expectations of what the website will do as well as what content you want included in your web site (architecture or site map).Once we enter into an Agreement, we will proceed with Phase II. At this time we will also provide you access to our restricted client area, where you will be able to login and see the progress of your project, from comp review to the final site release.
Phase II – Web Site Architecture and Design
The next phase is the finalization of your web site architecture (site map) and the design of several unique prototypes (comps) of your website. This includes mock-ups of navigation, content and graphical placeholders. You will receive several different comps from which to choose from.The goal of this phase is for you to select the comp that is closest to what you had in mind. From there we can make two additional rounds of changes. In extremely rare cases, additional comps are required and can be provided for an extra fee.
Logo design and content development are also performed during this phase, if you've retained us for these services.
Phase III – Web Site Development
After selecting the chosen prototype (comp), we will code the site and incorporate the content and graphics into the new design. The site will be temporarily hosted on our servers and available for you to view. Throughout the development process, you are able to see the progress.Phase IV – Web Site Deployment
One last approval from you and we are ready to launch your Web Site. But not until we give your new site the "white glove" test to ensure everything is functioning as planned, every link is linked and every word is spell-checked. After this final step and upon receipt of payment, we will then make the site live on your hosting space for the entire world to see!We will also provide you with a CD of your entire site at the completion of the project.
